"America's Cup Experience"

A unique day in Newport, Rhode Island, June 24, 2008, to support the work of the M.G.H.

The Massachusetts General Hospital and four of its President's Council Directors, Clint Allen, Jerry Jordan, Jack O'Brien and Ken Burnes, are hosting an exciting and unique day of sailing and camraderie in historic Newport, Rhode Island. The event will include ten of the most famous and successful twelve meter yachts racing again in Newport Harbor.

ALL of the twelve meters have professional crews aboard so participants can do as much, or little as they want during the sail. Crank a grinder or drink a beer...it's up to you !!!!!

The event starts at lunch on the New York Yacht Club veranda, then we walk to the Club dock and board the boats. A starting boat and racing markers will be in place for the afternoon racing then back to the Club for cocktails and the famous NYYC clambake!

It will be a day you will NEVER forget.

There are ONLY 10 twelve meter yachts available for the event so PLEASE act now and reserve a boat for this event.

Twelve meter Captains and their crews for this event will become automatic members of the "MGH America's Cup Club", a permanent group that will be eligible for future sailing and other sports activities of the Club (golf, auto racing etc) and will enjoy a special place in the Massachusetts General Hospital support family.
